Greetings and salutations!

I am the homeroom teacher for 6th Grade, and the Social Studies teacher for the 5th through 8th grades.


Homeroom
As the homeroom teacher for 6th, I teach Literature,and Vocabulary (as well as Social Studies). Additionally, the class is responsible for one all-school Mass and a service project. Our service project which takes place throughout the month of November, involves veterans and soldiers.

Social Studies
Fifth grade Social Studies focuses on the Western Hemisphere. Students learn about Canada and the United States for the first half of the year, and about Mexico and Latin America for the second half of the year.

Sixth grade Social Studies is mainly ancient civilizations and world cultures. We "travel" from the beginnings of civilization to modern times and span the better portion of the globe.

Seventh and eighth grade Social Studies covers United States history. Seventh grade starts with the ancient peoples of our country and ends just after President Jackson (end of the 1820's). The eighth grade picks up from there with the Oregon Trail and goes through World War II.
