Teacher: Ms. Bonita Hric This year, the students will be introduced to a new Religion program entitled the “Faith” and “Life” Series. The program places special emphasis on the importance of Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The student texts are intentionally written at an advanced level. Each chapter opens with a passage from Sacred Scripture. Additional quotations are interspersed throughout the book to demonstrate Biblical backing for the Faith. Doctrine is presented in such a way as to challenge the student’s intellect. Vocabulary words are also presented in bold print. The chapters close with memorization questions that refer to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Particularly notable is the inspiring religious outlook in all levels of the text. An activity book contains supplemental activities for each chapter in each grade. In the primary grades, the activities focus on drawing, coloring and simple exercises, while in the middle school, reading comprehension and memorization are emphasized. Whether your child may be preparing to receive sacraments this year, or will be studying the Old and New Testaments, this series will help the student to grow closer to Jesus Christ and His Church.
